Couldn't tell you about the MCM, i...@ WiseApe,

Couldn't tell you about the MCM, it only mentions the three. Potentially three were in port and one at sea. If you check the Navy website they have a tracker so you can see where all the vessels are (roughly) and what they're up to.

I think there has to be a degree of diversity in the vehicles, the question is just how diverse? How many functions can you pile into one vehicle? The more the better usually.

@ Anon,
All the vehicles above (as far as I'm aware) are capable of mounting weapon like GPMG, .5 calibre heavies or 40mm grenades. In all likely hood you would be able to come up with a mount for something like Javelin, but it would be more along the lines of the single round launchers that you often see mounted on something like HMMWV, as opposed to the multiple launchers on specialist TOW vehicles like M113 or Swingfire.Chrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18182426936194426623noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1835455773953043846.post-82159269177547109622013-02-11T12:44:32.852+00:002013-02-11T12:44:32.852+00:00Any of them mounting missiles?Any of them mounting missiles?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1835455773953043846.post-38070204430237052202013-02-10T16:20:54.496+00:002013-02-10T16:20:54.496+00:00Much improved wallpaper.

Isn't it funny how an actual conflict always shows up the need for a range of specialist vehicles, while in peacetime the call is always for one-size-fits-all multirole vehicles?

I thought we had 4 MCM vessels in Bahrain?

108 yards. If only I'd stayed up for the 2nd half, but all that caterwauling at half time put me off.WiseApenoreply@blogger.com
